DRS Wins $86.2 Million Army Contract
PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 30 -- DRS Technologies Inc. has been competitively awarded a multiyear $86.2 million contract from the US Army on the Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystem (IBAS) program. IBAS provides important enhancements to the M2A3 Bradley ground platform, including the incorporation of Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI)and Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) technology.
"The outstanding effort expended for this competition, coupled with our reputation for world-class second generation FLIR systems, have culminated in the award of a milestone contract for the company," said Mark S. Newman, chairman, president and CEO of DRS Technologies.
