Leybold Optics Introduces a New Product Line of AR Lens Labs

The demand for coated ophthalmic lenses is growing fast, especially in the United States. Wholesale laboratories and retailers are taking AR coating in-house so that they can offer the whole value chain to their customers. Leybold Optics, as a leading supplier of AR coating equipment, now introduces its completely new developed product line of AR lens labs featuring three types of complete systems: EASY Lab, the easy operation type; SPEED Lab, the high production concept; and MULTI Lab, the configuration for highest degrees of flexibility and productivity.

In today's ophthalmics mass and RX production, mainly integrated manufacturing labs are applied, which start with cleaning and end with inspecting the finished organic or mineral lens. For economical purposes, it was a logical consequence to transfer this manufacturing concept to in-house AR labs as well. Thus, the company has developed for the markt a complete turnkey solution including hardware, technology support, service and process know how for the customer.
