Agere Systems will conduct a live demonstration of its PayloadPlus network processor at Supercomm 2001, in Atlanta, Ga., this week. The processor provides wire-speed, carrier-class, and programmable deep-packet processing capability for high-performance packet processing systems.
At the Supercomm show in Atlanta,
Sycamore announced the availability of its large grooming version of the SN 16000 intelligent optical switch. With this release, the SN 16000 is able to scale to a 1024 x 1024 OC-48/STM-16 switch fabric with full grooming capabilities, provide dual network aware control planes, and offer voice quality restoration.
VPI Virtual Photonics, developer of tools and systems for next-generation products and networks, announced the expansion of its US customer services division. The service will now provide 24-hour global help.
