HD supplies 4- & 8-Channel CWDM Module to target Metro Area Network
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 12 -- HD FiberSystems, a manufacturer of fiber optics components and integrated optical modules, announced its 4- and 8-channel coarse wavelength division multiplexer (CWDM) modules based on thin-film filter technology. HD's CWDM module features one of the lowest insertion loss and polarization dependent loss (PDL) currently available in the market, the company said.
This CWDM module boasts a low insertion loss of less than 2.5 dB for the 4-channel and less than 3.5 dB for the 8-channel. These modules also consist of high center wavelength accuracy and high adjacent band isolation characteristics. Both modules are packed in a specially designed compact box that measure 140 x 105 x 8 mm.
"Envisioning the fast growing market of metro area network, HD FiberSystems is providing a more cost-effective solution for wavelength management and broadband applications with our CWDM modules," said Nelson Wang, vice president of Sales and Marketing. "HD's CWDM modules heritages the performance and quality that HD FiberSystems has achieved with our DWDM modules. HD FiberSystems is committed to become the leading supplier of DWDM and CWDM components for the system and solution providers targeted at the metropolitan area network."
