Melles Griot Releases Fiber Alignment Station
ELY, Cambridgeshire, UK, July 3 -- Melles Griot announced a new range of fiber-alignment workstations. The 17 AWG 001, first in a series of automated waveguide alignment systems, is designed specifically for fiber-to-arrayed waveguide-to-ribbon fiber applications.
System features include parallel-flexure NanoMax positioning stages for around-the-clock reliability, NanoTrak optical signal optimization, and high resolution machine vision for fast, reliable component pre-alignment. ActiveX software architecture allows users to develop custom alignment algorithms quickly and easily using LabVIEW, C++, Visual Basic, or other Windows-based development languages.
