Digital Reflection Calls It Quits
LOS GATOS, Calif., July 16 -- Digital Reflection Inc. (DRI), one of the early pioneers in
LCOS panel technology and projection system integration, has struggled of late. On July 13, the company closed its doors after its funds ran out.
The company had recently hired Bill Mackenzie, a former Apple executive, as chief operating officer. At SID, Mackenzie said the company was restructuring to bring more production discipline to the organization. This was to include pushing forward with commercialization of an HDTV LCOS imager, which had already been designed.
