BTG Licenses EAM Technology to Oki Electric and NEL

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Dec. 3 -- BTG announced it has signed licensing agreements with Oki Electric Industry Co. Ltd. and NTT Electronics Corp. (NEL) for its electro-absorption modulator (EAM) technology. EAMs, which are used to produce high-quality modulated optical signals at data rates of 2.5Gbit/s and above, play an integral role in making more efficient use of long-distance optical networks.
