PHOENIX, March 14 -- Avnet Inc. has acquired Sweden-based Gamma Optronik, a privately owned distributor of photonics products in the Nordic region. Gamma will be operated as a part of Avnet's BFi OPTiLAS European business unit. Gamma's three former owners, Mehran Salehpour, Louis Moradi and Lars Holm, will remain with BFi OPTiLAS and will continue to have management roles.
