COLUMBIA, Md., August 27 -- Essex Corp. announced it has received a multiphase contract to develop advanced optical signal processing capabilities of high-resolution hyperfine wavelength division multiplex technology for electronic warfare and signal intelligence applications for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Analog Optical Signal Processing program.
Phase I of the contract, for $105,000, includes application and architecture studies and a hardware demonstration. Contract options for phases II and III will, when funded, include system prototype design, fabrication, environmental testing and field trials.
