LECs May Be Future of Flat-Panel Displays

BOSTON, Sept. 3 -- The polymer light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC) may be the next answer in the search for low-cost color displays that don't drain a computer’s battery, according to an international team of electrical engineers.
