Image analysis software provider Media Cybernetics Inc. of Silver Spring, Md., has purchased the intellectual property and related assets of Definitive Imaging Ltd., which is a supplier of software for metallographic and materials science quality control.As a result of the acquisition, Media Cybernetics will expand its product offerings in the materials analysis market. It will continue to support the acquired company's MSQ software, which provides a quantitative method for analyzing and measuring samples in materials laboratories.
