The Foundry to Open Six European Centers

PARIS, Nov. 28 -- The Foundry Inc., a training, research and development facility, announced it will open six regional Micro Foundry (µ–Foundry) centers in Europe to train and redeploy professionals and transfer 3,000 career positions from traditional telecommunications into "enhanced communications" project companies within the next three years.

The µ–Foundry centers will be opened immediately in Belfast, Northern Ireland; Cambridge, England; Munich, Germany; Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland; Paris and Sophia-Antipolis, France.

Each center will serve as a regional liaison between corporate clients, current executives and graduates of the Foundry’s Enhanced Communications School and Development Center in Pau, France.

"As a result of tremendously enthusiastic response from professionals and upcoming graduates in light of the pan-European telecom crisis, we are opening a network of µ–Foundry centers to address specific career opportunities in each region," said Christopher Cantell, CEO of The Foundry.

The centers will provide free executive career advising, presentations on international job opportunities, hiring project-companies and market trends in enhanced communications. They will assist human resource managers during restructurings.

Foundry executives will begin opening the new µ–Foundry locations during the week of Dec. 9.
