FLIR Systems Inc. announced it has been awarded a $1 million contract from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) for more than 100 ThermoVision Scout handheld cameras, to be used by state and local law enforcement agencies in antidrug efforts. The cameras enable law enforcement to view subjects through obstacles such as darkness and fog from up to 1200 feet away. Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2003.
