CORNING, N.Y. , Oct. 31 -- Corning Inc. and Tamron Co. Ltd., an optical components manufacturer based in Japan, announced they have concluded a license agreement under a portfolio of Corning patents for molded glass components used in digital still cameras, display systems and other products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Corning said the agreement demonstrates a renewed emphasis on licensing elements of its technology portfolio in a broader array of industry segments to protect its intellectual property and to support further product development and research.
