PHOENIX, Jan. 16 -- iBIZ Technology Corp. announced this week it has begun taking orders for its Virtual Laser Keyboard, which uses a laser beam to project a glowing red outline of a keyboard on a desk or other flat surface. A sensor like those used in digital cameras monitors the reflection of an infrared light projected on the same spot, so it can tell which "keys" are being struck by the way that reflection changes. The Virtual Laser Keyboard is compatible with Palm, Pocket PCs, laptops and desktop PCs. The device weighs two ounces and is about the size of a disposable cigarette lighter....Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesFlow Cytometry Technique Shows Promise for Early Cancer DiagnosisA digital droplet microfluidic flow cytometry technique could enable earlier recognition of tumor development and progress, by aiding in the detection of multiple microRNAs (miRNAs) in single...BioPhotonics Nov/Dec 2022 IssueWearable Sensor Could Detect Postpartum Blood LossPostpartum hemorrhage, the leading and most preventable cause of maternal mortality, can be hard to detect, because physiological compensation mechanisms can mask excessive bleeding.
