Alpine Research Optics (ARO), of Boulder, Colo., announced it has received an order valued at over $1 million to supply laser optics to the National Ignition Facility (NIF) project at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The contract, which runs through 2007, is for a variety of components, such as lenses, mirrors and partial reflectors, for the project's injection laser system. ARO said some of the components will use high laser damage threshold coatings and its wavefront control coatings.    . . .     Adept Technology Inc., a Livermore, Calif., manufacturer of robotic systems, motion control and machine vision technology, has appointed Robert Strickland as vice president of finance and CFO. Prior to joining Adept, Strickland was executive vice president of finance and CFO for electronics manufacturer Trend Technologies Inc. He was previously vice president and CFO of Portola Packaging Inc., a plastics packaging products company.    . . .    Fusion UV Systems Inc. has added a new section, Solutions for Chemistry Formulators, to its Web site that provides links to ultraviolet (UV) curing lab equipment, training opportunities and and lab and pilot line test facilities.
