PerkinElmer announced it will offer a free online seminar on the latest sampling techniques for Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis. Technical specialists will describe the theoretical principles of attenuated total reflectance and ways to improve analysis of difficult samples; accessories and applications will also be discussed. International DisplayWorks Hong Kong Ltd., a subsidiary of International DisplayWorks Inc., a Rocklin, Calif., maker of liquid crystal display, modules and assembles, announced it has signed an asset purchase agreement with Grand Pacific Petrochemical Corp., the parent company of Grand Pacific Optoelectronics of Taiwan (GPO), for substantially all of GPO's equipment used in the production of color displays and module assemblies.    . . .    EM4 Inc., a Burlington, Mass., provider of outsourcing services for optoelectronic and photonic component manufacturing, announced it has introduced a single-step, high-precision, submicron process for producing active optoelectronic components. The company, which recently received $8 million in a Series B funding round, said it is also in the process of moving to larger facilities in Bedford.
