High Q Laser (US) Inc. of Watertown, Mass., has entered into an agreement with APE of Berlin, under which it has become the exclusive distributor of that company's picosecond optical parameter oscillators in the US and Canada. Both companies are specialists in the development and manufacture of compact, ultrafast laser systems.

The electronically tunable Levante oscillators have a tuning range of 1550 to 2000 nm and, with frequency doubling, can address a signal range from 775 to 900 nm. High Q Laser says that the synchronization of the pump pulse train at 1064 nm and the tunable pulse train render the system suitable for two-color, pump-probe experiments and coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy.
