Rigaku Establishes Solid-State Detector Div.

Rigaku/MSC Inc., based in The Woodlands, Texas, has formed a wholly owned division charged with developing solid-state detectors for macromolecular and small-molecule crystallography. The unit, Electronic Imaging Technologies of Tucson, Ariz., also will focus on developing advanced low-noise, high-sensitivity detectors for use with general-purpose x-ray diffraction instrumentation. The basis of the enterprise was an asset purchase from Dalsa Corp. of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, which formerly supplied CCD technology to Rigaku.Read full article
