IPG Laser GmbH of Burbach, Germany, has built a 20,000-sq-ft cleanroom facility there to house the high-volume industrial production of its multikilowatt fiber lasers. The company is a subsidiary of high-power laser supplier IPG Photonics Corp. of Oxford, Mass. IPG's lasers are used for materials processing applications in automobiles, shipbuilding, pipeline installation, construction and aerospace technology.
