WATERLOO, Ontario, April 6 -- Dalsa Corp. announced it has received contracts to supply high-performance image sensor chips to two original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the parcel sorting sector. The company said it expects total sales from these contracts to be $2.9 million, and that delivery will begin this year and be completed in 2006. The image sensor chips are the "eyes" of scanning systems used to sort and track parcels in high-volume courier, logistics and distribution centers in Europe, North America and Asia. The use of such systems has grown significantly over the past several...Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesPlus One Robotics Raises $50 MillionPlus One Robotics, a provider of advanced AI vision software and solutions for robotic parcel handling, has raised $50 million in series C funding.
