BAE Systems to Produce Stryker Module

LEXINGTON, Mass., Aug. 29 -- BAE Systems was awarded a contract from Kongsberg Protech AS of Norway to supply a TIM1500 thermal imaging module for the remote weapon station on the Stryker armored vehicle. The contract, from the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), is valued at $9.4 million and will require delivery starting in late 2005. The TIM1500 program will provide Stryker with an advanced, uncooled thermal imaging camera that identifies targets in the battlefield day or night, in all weather conditions.
