A 16-page booklet highlights Optiwave Systems Inc.’s OptiSystem software, which is used to plan, test and simulate links in the physical layer of optical networks. Titled “Innovative Software Design Tools for Photonics,” it discusses the features, benefits and applications of the OptiPerformer for sales and technical marketing, the OptiAmplifier for EDFA/Raman amplifier engineering, the OptiBPM for complex optical waveguides, and the OptiFDTD for passive and nonlinear photonic components. Tools for heterostructure simulation, for designing optical fibers and for modeling devices that incorporate optical gratings also are presented, along with color screen shots.
