Laboratory Opens at Lehigh University

The Center for Optical Technologies at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., has opened a laboratory to enable researchers to make and analyze new classes of optical materials and to design and fabricate optical devices for military, sensing, biomedical, pharmaceutical and other applications. Dedicated on Oct. 21, the $6 million, four-story facility offers a 3000-sq-ft cleanroom and epitaxial growth facilities. It is intended to serve as a hub for the rising numbers of optics businesses and start-ups in the Lehigh Valley area.Read full article
