Optical switch supplier Polatis Inc. of Billerica, Mass., has formed a distribution agreement with Marubun Corp. The Tokyo-based company will represent a number of Polatis’ products, including the optical switch tray and module, through its sales channels in the Japanese telecommunications market. The switches are suitable for local or remote network reconfiguration, allowing for rapid restoration, span testing and monitoring of fiber optic networks.
