Siemens Communications Group of Munich, Germany, has purchased Photonic Bridges of Shanghai, China, a developer of optical transmission systems for ranges up to 200 km. Siemens, which offers telecommunications devices, complex network infrastructures and services for wireless, fixed and enterprise networks, will integrate its acquisition’s product portfolio into its chain of optical transmission systems.
