SPI Lasers LLC, a unit of SPI, based in Southampton, UK, has relocated to a 3500-sq-ft facility in Santa Clara, Calif., to accommodate the demand for CW fiber lasers for a variety of machining applications. The new plant houses an applications laboratory, which includes a high-end motion system and a Crafford Fiberstar handheld welding system. As the headquarters for the US sales team, it also comprises product support and customer service operations.
