Veeco Instruments Inc. of St. Paul, Minn., has received requests for four of its molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) devices. The orders comprise four models, each optimized for particular functions. Research groups in the US, Europe and Japan intend to use them for high mobility and III-V technology development, for quantum dot manufacturing and for oxide applications.
