II-VI Inc. Wins Verdict Against Consultant

II-VI Inc. of Saxonburg, Pa., a producer of materials for optical, IR and nuclear radiation detectors, has won its lawsuit against a former consultant. A jury found that Emmanuil Raiskin had misappropriated trade secrets from the company pertaining to crystal growth. II-VI said it had disclosed to Raiskin, as its consultant, trade secrets on significant advances in both the equipment and process used to produce radiation detector material.
