BroadLight Promotes Eli Weitz to CTO
Mountain View, Calif.-based BroadLight Inc., a maker of communication semiconductors and software, announced the promotion of VSLI Vice President Eli Weitz to chief technology officer (CTO). Weitz has more than 20 years of experience managing very large scale integration (VLSI) design and development for communication semiconductors companies. Prior to joining BroadLight, he was VLSI director for Infineon (Savan) and Globespan/Virata in Israel. Most of his experience was in Motorola semiconductors (currently Freescale), where he was responsible for developing the communication IC line the PowerQuicc.
