Polatis Expands Sales Force

polatisstaff.jpgPolatis Inc., a Cambridge, England-based manufacturer of optical switches, has appointed two senior executives to its international sales force: Garland Shinn joins Polatis as director of sales, Test and Measurement Group, and Vernon Brokke is its new director of sales, Federal Systems Group. During his career, Shinn has been involved in test and measurement sales at Photon Kinetics, Circadiant Systems, PK Technology and Nettest, part of the Anritsu group, and has specialized in establishing sales channels in Asia for North American companies. Brokke has focused on networking technology to federal and state governments. He was lead account manager at Sycamore Networks for its optical cross-connect contract in the federal government's global GIG BE roll-out in 2003 and previously worked at Juniper Networks. Polatis, which has North American headquarters in Billerica, Mass., will exhibit its products next week at OFC/NFOEC, being held March 25-29 in Anaheim, Calif.
