Former Nortel, Bookham Exec Joins Covega Board

Michael G. Scott has joined the board of Covega Corp., a Jessup, Md., provider of state-of-the-art optoelectronic components and subsystems. Scott, who has more than two decades of optical communications and semiconductor experience, was vice president technology, Optical Components, at Nortel Networks from 1996 to 2002 and was later dhief technology officer at Bookham. Scott is the Chair of the Canadian Photonics Consortium, a visiting professor and strategic adviser with the Centre for Research in Photonics and an adjunct professor at the School of Management, University of Ottawa. He is also a board member and adviser to several optical companies and to both the UK and Canadian governments.
