Satisloh Enlarges Precision Optics Unit
A supplier of technology for ophthalmic and precision optics manufacturing, Satisloh AG of Baar, Switzerland, has restructured and expanded its precision optics activities to operate as an independent market-oriented business unit, in preparation for growth in areas such as micro- and nano-optics and next-generation photonic/electronic hybrid devices. The reorganization is designed to afford the two operations more autonomy and to provide greater focus on specific customer requirements. Their structures include independent technology sales, production, application engineering and service personnel.
The precision optics unit launched the SPM 60 and SPS 60 grinding and polishing machines for the production of spheres and aspheres.
