II-VI Acquires Pacific

Through a definitive stock purchase agreement, II-VI Inc. of Saxonburg, Pa., has acquired the equity interests of Pacific Rare Specialty Metals & Chemicals Inc. of Rosario, Philippines, in exchange for cash. The Pennsylvania company will expand its product offering and secure its supply chain for selenium and tellurium, while the acquired company will become an operating unit for government and military business within II-VI.
