WALTHAM, Mass., and NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 27, 2007 -- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded more than $5 million to two researchers working separately to advance the study of cancer, diabetes and neurological diseases by developing new microscopy techniques. NIH Director Elias A.     cell
    1. A single unit in a device for changing radiant energy to electrical energy or for controlling current flow in a circuit. 2.     An instrument consisting essentially of a tube 160 mm long, with an objective lens at the distant end and an eyepiece at the near end.
