Kodak Posts $114M Loss

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 1, 2008 -- Eastman Kodak Co. today reported a first-quarter loss of $114 million, or 40 cents a share, on sales of $2.09 billion. Total sales were up slightly -- one percent -- from the first quarter of 2007, and losses improved from the $175 million, or 61 cents a share, posted one year ago. Kodak said its digital revenue was up 10 percent to $1.36 billion, while its traditional film-based revenues continued to decline, down 13 percent to $724 million, compared to $830 million a year ago.
