Sunovia Energy Technologies Inc. of Sarasota, Fla., a renewable energy and energy conservation company, has established an infrared materials and systems integration division for cadmium telluride and mercury cadmium telluride infrared imaging and sensor products. The company will develop infrared products while maintaining its current focus on solar cell technologies.

Sunovia also is partnering with Epir Technologies Inc. of Bolingbrook, Ill., to expand the latter company’s electro-optic manufacturing facilities. The companies have completed Phase 1 of the project.
