BAE Licenses Patents to Tannas
Tannas Electronic Displays of Orange, Calif., has resolved its legal disputes with BAE Systems plc of London concerning interfering patents and patent applications relating to the technology for resizing LCDs. As part of the settlement, BAE has licensed its patents related to the sizing of LCD glass to Tannas, which is authorized to sublicense these patents, including some in Austria, Germany, Spain, the UK and the US, with additional ones pending in Canada, Israel and Taiwan. As a result, Tannas now offers for worldwide sales licenses for resizing LCDs under the trademark Tannas-Sizedt LCD.
