John Markovich Hired as Emcore CFO
Albuquerque, N.M.-based Emcore Corp. announced that its board of directors has appointed John M. Markovich as chief financial officer (CFO), effective Aug. 18. Adam Gushard, the company's interim CFO, will stay on as vice president, finance. Markovich most recently served as executive vice president & CFO of Energy Innovations Inc., a venture capital-backed solar energy company. He has also held leadership positions with several technology and financial services companies, including Optical Coating Laboratories, Western Digital, Pictos Technologies, Tickets.com, and Citicorp. Emcore is a provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the broadband, fiber optic, satellite, and terrestrial solar power markets.
