The “NIST Standard Reference Materials Catalog” from the National Institute of Standards and Technology is available online, in print and on compact disc. The resource lists more than 1100 individual reference materials produced and sold by the institute. The listings include assigned values for chemical composition and physical properties. The materials find use in calibrating instruments and in assuring the long-term integrity of quality control programs.
