Thirty years after the discovery of organic LED (OLED) electroluminescence, OLEDs still have not fully penetrated either the display or lighting markets. With the exception of a few handheld mobile devices, OLED displays can be found in very few products in the consumer marketplace today – mainly one expensive wireless picture frame and one even more expensive 11-in.
