Seoul Semiconductor Co. Ltd. of Seoul, South Korea, and Nichia Corp. have announced that they have settled all litigations on patent and other legal disputes pending between them in the US, Germany, Japan, Korea and the UK. The settlement also includes a cross-license agreement covering LED and laser diodes, enabling each company to access all of the other’s patented technologies. Under the terms of the settlement, all litigations will be terminated by mutual withdrawals.
