A supplier of machine vision systems and industrial ID readers, Cognex Corp. has released an online tool to help manufacturers calculate the cost reductions they can achieve through using the company’s vision technology. The Cost Savings Advisor asks users a few questions about their production processes as well as which of three types of applications they are considering: product inspection, automation guidance or identification/traceability. The tool is offered in nine languages.
