Tower Semiconductor Ltd., a manufacturer of specialty wafers, and CMT Medical Technologies Ltd., a provider of digital x-ray imaging systems, will partner to develop and market x-ray detectors for medical applications. The companies, based respectively in Migdal Ha’emek and Yoqneam, both in Israel, intend to create flat panel devices for use in large-size modalities, including cardiology, radiography and mammography.
