Guided Therapeutics Inc. of Norcross, Ga., has submitted the preclinical module of its Premarket Approval application to the FDA for its LightTouch noninvasive cervical cancer detection device. The system analyzes reflected light wavelengths to detect biochemical and morphological changes at the cellular level, thereby locating cervical cancers. The clinical and manufacturing modules should be submitted this year.
