Jmar Technologies Inc. of San Diego, a developer of sensing systems for the detection of chemical, nuclear and other materials, has formed a new subsidiary. Spectral Labs Inc. will design and develop equipment to detect, locate and identify radiological and nuclear threats with minimum intrusion. Also, the California-based company has been awarded a development contract by Johns Hopkins University’s applied physics laboratory to develop two prototype special-purpose lasers.
