In Sydney, Australia, the University of Technology Sydney and Agilent Technologies Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., have created a research facility to study the health effects of trace metals and other elements in tissue. The UTS Elemental Bio-Imaging Facility will search for new ways to diagnose disease and for a better understanding of drug actions and side effects.
