The National Institutes of Health has awarded a $125,000 Phase I contract to Aculight Corp. of Bothell, Wash., under the Small Business Innovation Research program. The award will fund the development of a handheld infrared laser-based nerve stimulator for use in identifying cranial nerves during surgery.
