GlaxoSmithKline plc of Brentford, UK, Imperial College London and the Medical Research Council, also of London, have established the Clinical Imaging Centre in the same city. Contributing a total of £83 million, the institutions created the center to facilitate the development of medicines for cancer, cardiovascular disease and neurological disorders through the use of MRI and PET.
