Queen’s University Belfast in the UK has established the Bioimaging Core Technology Unit. The £2.2 million facility will enable researchers from Queen’s and other academic and industrial institutions to study cells — and the molecular processes occurring within them — in high resolution using confocal microscopy (see image) and other established and novel imaging techniques. Resources at the facility are expected to serve investigators in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and engineering fields.Read full article
